Summertime Funtime :)

This may be a picture overload, but I need to catch up and start this bloggin' thing again. Especially since I suck at keeping up with both boys baby books. I will add, though, Noah's baby book was finished front to back before he even turned 3. Think I over did it a little? lol. To be fair, Toby's book has the important milestones recorded..Anyway I must post some pics of what we've been doing since summer break started a short two weeks ago :)

First, let me start out with T's first haircut!! I was a little upset because everyone kept hounding me about cutting his hair. He was continuously called a girl (Even by people related to him ugh!) and I got sick of it. I stupidly let peer pressure get the best of me and we had to cut the baby mullet. Here's the before. Note that this was a bad hair day - usually it was all curly and cute! sniffle

Here he is bravely sitting in Nana's lap getting his hair cut by our cousin, Lisa. My big boy!

Another first! Toby's first trip to Chuck E Cheese. Cousin McKinley's bday party.

T's very first time bowling and check it out! He got all the pins except for two! GO T!!

Noah and Zoe had a blast bowling - and Noah's ball went into the gutter as soon as I snapped the pic! haha! Love these kids!

Thanks to Pinterest, I just had to make the kids a car wash sprinkler! Well, I glued and my dad did all the work. lol - Too bad Caleb was at work and missed all the fun. baha!

Water hose fun. What kid doesn't like it? Well considering T is running for his life..I'm guessing he's not a fan. lol
Zoe pouring a bowl of water over her head. She's so cute!

I have a cute story about the cute little dog above. It's my dad's beagle and he calls her "Girl". She gets so excited when she sees us that she whimpers and screams out like she's been hit by a car..oh, and she also throws herself on the ground as shown in the pic above. I've renamed her: Car Wreck, or C.W. when we have company LOL. I just love her and the boys go crazy everytime she's around. :)

Last Friday..

Caleb had one day off last week and that was Friday. Of course since I keep children, I am unfortunately stuck at home until the last child leaves, which is 6p. Once everyone was gone we got the boys ready and headed toward Downtown Chattanooga. We spend most of our time out there on days off, only because there's more to do & literally nothing to do in our little tiny town. I was excited because Caleb had a day off and we at least had a few hours of famiy time, which I cherish!! The whole way there Noah was pitching his normal little fit in the backseat. He hates going anywhere and constantly asked if we were going to the Aquarium. We told him we were, but he was going to have to play in the water outside since the Aquarium would be closed by the time we got there. We have an annual family pass but have hardly used it since I am not able to get off work til 6p. Noah finally chilled out once he found out he was going somewhere fun. Turd. Noah had a good time wading in the water and it felt so good to just sit down and conversate with Caleb. Toby happily sat in his stroller and watched his big brother romp around in the water. Afterwards, we walked to TGI Friday's. We figured since it was Friday that it would be crowded but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. We had a fantastic family dinner inside the restaraunt with no fit pitching, no paper wads flung across the room via Noah and a spoon...ahhh, success!! No drive-thru's, no crap food, no meltdowns...yay! Here's a few pictures of our little outing :)

My beautiful Noah boy!

Toby toes!

Noah chose this spot & wanted his pic taken :)

I love this shot of him!

Brotherly love :)

Stoked!!

If you've been reading my blog for a while (about a year), you might remember that my hubby lost his crappy a$$ job last July. Long story short, he landed an amazing job so many crazy months later. Anyway, he works with amazing people, gets amazing monthly bonuses, and works his butt off every single day. So last night I was chillaxin at my parents house and I suddenly realize I left my stupid cell phone out in the car. So I go out to get it and its ringing - and its Caleb. He won a Nintendo Wii at work!! Oh. My. Gosh. We had to sell our beloved Wii last year when Hubby lost his job and needed surgery. We were hocking everything we owned just to get extra money. And a year to the date, he wins another one!! I was so happy and excited for him - and Noah was equally ecstatic. We use to have family Wii nights (just us 3) and we had a ball. All that was taken away when we had to sell it last year :( But now we can start that up again. awwww.

Other news, Noah's "spots", as he calls them, are almost 100% better. Know what that means? Pre-k on Tuesday. Sniffle. I love my little baby boy so much!! He was walking down the hallway earlier and accidently hit his head on our laundry room door - and he came crying to me and said "mama, I broke my head". Bless!! He's the cutest, sweetest little boy I know.

Laundry and a car wash

I've kind of let the laundry go the past few days, I figure it'll always be there once I get around to it. So, as I was walking past the laundry room and tripped over a laundry basket (or two) I decided it was time to start climbing Mt. Everest. So I throw the Downy ball in, detergent, and bleach. Start up the washer and as I'm waiting for it to start agitating so I can throw in some towels, Noah decides to drive his little monster truck around on the washing machine. I tell him to back away because there's bleach in there. . .and to please hang on to his truck or else it will be another 45 minutes before he would get to play with it again. I go in his bathroom and start cleaning it when I hear a distressed call.

NOAH: "mommmyy, my monser tuck in da washer and I can't get it".
ME: Noah, what did mama tell you about hanging onto your truck and staying away from the washer?
NOAH: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do it.
ME: It's okay baby, but when mama tells you something, you need to listen. In a few minutes the washer will be all done and you'll get your truck back. ..and it'll be all clean!
NOAH: Ok, my monser tuck's dirty and it need baff.
ME: Exactly, it's dirty and now it's getting a bath and will be all clean.

Finally, I got his truck out of the washer and handed it to him and boy was he excited. It was clean and he was happy it got a "baff". You know, I almost got frustrated and upset because I had told him to get away from the washing machine and I had warned him that he could possibly drop his truck into the washer. .blah blah blah. But reality is - it's no big deal. One of these days I'm going to be doing laundry, and my little Noah is going to be a man that has a home and family of his own, and I'll wish I was pulling out a little toy truck from my washing machine. Time goes by so fast and I don't want to waste a single moment of it by sweating the small stuff. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful, smart, healthy little boy who literally lights up my life. I don't write these posts about Noah because I'm complaining, I'm merely writing them because I want a record of all the precious memories we're building and I don't want to forget a second of it. I love my life. I love my family.

Santa Came!

And it was the most exciting morning I've had since I was a little girl! Noah woke up first thing this morning and said "Santa's here". .and he got up and came down the hall with a big smile on his cute little face! The first thing he seen was his bicycle and he ran to it and was so excited: his very first big boy bike! Then he opened all his presents: Operation game, Chutes and Ladders game, Pottery Wheel, Paintable Magnets, moldable clay, a few tractors, and his gas pump! He was one happy little boy! Then we went up to my parents house and had a wonderful Christmas with them. They got Noah a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse table and chairs, a huge tractor with a round bailer, games, a puzzle, and quite a few other awesome things. Then out came Wes with a 4-wheeler [power wheel] that looks just like his real Yamaha...even the same color blue! Noah had a cow! My grandmother got him a few tractors, Land Before Time puzzles and a few other things. Thank goodness Noah has a huge room or else I don't know what we would do with all these things, lol! We had a great day and I'm thankful we're all healthy and together.

Oh, we brought some great tasting honey ham home from my parents house and my poodle knocked it off the counter and chewed a hole in the top of the bag. . .so now he's in lockdown for the next few hours! What a turd! :)

Now we're waiting on Caleb's parents to get here so we can celebrate Christmas with them. They should be here within the next few hours. .Can't wait!
